Straight, white celebrity smiles are often the focal point of photos in magazines and across social media. If you’re ready to get the same bright, beautiful smile as your favorite famous person, you might be a candidate for the custom veneers available at DDS Concierge.
Experienced dentist Edward Delshad, DDS, and our team offer custom-made porcelain veneers to instantly transform a crooked or discolored smile into one that you’re proud to show off.
Veneers are thin, porcelain shells that fit over the front surface of your natural tooth. The shell can instantly hide dental issues like:
Once in place, veneers transform the appearance of your teeth and give you a straight, natural-looking smile. Veneers function just like your natural teeth and can last about 10 years with proper dental hygiene.
While veneers are a suitable treatment option for many adolescents and adults, you may not be a candidate if you have active gum disease or untreated tooth decay. We may also recommend other treatment options if you grind your teeth, which can prematurely damage your veneers.
Getting custom-made veneers typically requires two visits to our office. During your initial appointment, our team evaluates your overall health and takes a mold of your teeth. They send the mold to a dental lab that will make each of your custom veneers.
At your follow-up visit, we prepare the teeth by removing a small amount of enamel from the surface of each tooth that will receive a veneer. The removal of enamel helps the veneer bond snugly to your tooth, so you can chew, eat, and speak without issues.
You can expect to see immediate results after we bond your veneers in place. Our team pays close attention to the details of your veneers and ensures that their color and shape match those of your natural teeth. No one will be able to tell that you have veneers – they will only see your beautiful smile.
Maintaining your veneers requires nothing beyond your usual dental hygiene practices. To keep your natural teeth and your veneers in great shape, our dental team recommends that you brush them at least twice a day or after every meal. You should also continue to floss daily to lower your risk for cavities and other dental issues.
While porcelain veneers are stain-resistant, you should limit your use of coffee, wine, and other teeth-staining products to keep your natural teeth white and bright. Avoiding hard or chewy foods can protect against damage to your veneers and prevent them from falling off.
It’s also important that you follow through with your routine dental visits every six months, so we can deep-clean your teeth and ensure your veneers remain in good condition. If the veneer bond ever becomes loose or damaged, we can repair or replace it.
